The summer music scene heats up as the Richmond Jazz and Music Festival returns August 8-10 with a star-studded lineup blending jazz, soul, R&B, and hip-hop.
The festival kicks off Friday, August 8, at The Hippodrome Theater before moving to Maymont on Saturday and Sunday. This year’s lineup features T.I., Jodeci, Muni Long, Masego, Ceelo Green, Aloe Blacc, Marsha Ambrosius, October London, Dru Hill, Raheem DeVaughn, Kirk Whalum & Mindi Abair, Norman Brown, Hot Like Mars, Charles Owens, and Alexander Mack.
First held in 2010, the Richmond Jazz and Music Festival has become one of the region’s largest and most anticipated summer music events. Produced by Richmond-based agency JMI and presented by Dominion Energy, the festival attracts thousands of music lovers each year.
