Rochester man arrested, another hospitalized after Hopewell crash

A two-car crash Monday morning at a rural Hopewell intersection sent one passenger to the hospital and ended with a driver in custody.

Jason Frederick, 42, of Rochester, was arrested at the scene for driving with a suspended license after deputies determined he had struck another vehicle while crossing County Road 46 at County Road 47.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Frederick was traveling northbound when a 2003 Subaru Legacy driven by Edward Dreher, 30, of Clifton Springs, entered the intersection from the west and continued east on Booth Road.
