Before we get started, I have a confession to make.
A few years ago, I was researching one of my radio shows where I planned to discuss rock bands from New York City. Of course, there were the usual suspects – Talking Heads, Blondie, Lou Reed – but I came across information that I had not previously known. A band that I had thought was entirely British showed up on the list – Blue Öyster Cult. Imagine my surprise that the band was an entirely U.S. creation!
