LUBBOCK, Texas — The City of Jayton announced a Boil Water Notice for the community after a line break occurred Monday.
City Secretary Stephanie Wheatly confirmed that a line break occurred around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon, which impacted the water in Jayton. The line was later turned back on at approximately 4:15 p.m. but water will still need to be tested by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality before it is deemed safe.
