In order to apply for the program, applicants must have a valid ID, Social Security cards for all households, an electric and gas bill, and proof of income for the previous month. They must also meet the maximum monthly income guidelines for 2025.

Do I eat?” said Tammie Cagle, a case manager at the Economic Opportunity Agency of Washington County. “So, that’s when we come in and we help them with their electric bill, so the decisions are easier.”
