Michael Jaden Ybarra, 22, went missing while swimming in the Deep Fork River and was found dead downstream on Saturday morning. The Oklahoma City Fire Department and other teams searched for him starting on Friday afternoon but had to stop due to dangerous water conditions. The search continued on Saturday, leading to the recovery of his body. Major Ryan Hill said, “We have all the things we need if we were able to see a live victim to get to him we could have got to him, just not the case today,” according to KFOR.
The Luther Fire Department offered their condolences in a social media post. “We are saddened to report that the search for the missing man in the Deep Fork River has come to a close.
