Jazz on the Green Returns for Six Swingin’ Thursdays
Omaha’s favorite summer music tradition is back in full swing this week. Jazz on the Green returns to Turner Park at Midtown Crossing, bringing six consecutive Thursdays of free outdoor jazz concerts. Pack a picnic, grab a blanket, and enjoy warm nights and cool tunes under the stars. Each week features a different band, from big band and brass to Latin jazz. Turner Park opens at 5 p.m., music starts at 7:30 p.m.
BluesEd Young Musicians Take the Stage
BluesEd, a nonprofit program training the next generation of blues musicians, has been working hard for months—and now you get to see their talent. Local teens form BluesEd bands, rehearse with seasoned mentors, and are performing at parks and festivals around town all summer long. Their hard work culminates in a free all-band finale show on July 27 at The Waiting Room Lounge, where all five BluesEd youth bands will showcase their talents.
