Kansas woman charged with 48 counts of ID theft

JOHNSON COUNTY—A Kansas woman is facing numerous charges of identity theft, forgery and mistreatment of an elder person for an alleged scheme involving a women’s care center.

On July 2, Wendy Hopkins, 54, was charged with 48 counts, including identity theft, computer crime, theft, forgery and mistreatment of an elder person, according to the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office.
