Camp cleanings, housing costs and what’s next for Anchorage

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Anchorage Mayor Suzanne LaFrance says her administration has spent the past year “fixing what’s broken,” while laying a foundation for action – particularly on homelessness, housing and public safety.

“We have worked really hard to fix what’s broken at the municipality and build a strong future for our community,” LaFrance said in an interview with Alaska’s News Source Monday night. “That has included focusing on all those areas and really laying that foundation for action in our second year.”
