Drug trafficking operation in DC leads to sentencing for three men

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — With drug trafficking an ever-present issue lurking in the District, three men have been sentenced in a narcotics trafficking conspiracy.

Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces have conducted operations to target drug trafficking. As a result of their efforts, Jalonie Hooper, 26; Edward Frizell Williams, Jr., 53; and Dandre Goodwin, 30; were all sentenced for their conspiracy in an open-air drug market in the Trinidad neighborhood in Northeast D.C, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.

Court documents revealed that the crew sold around 468 kilograms of fentanyl, fentanyl analogue and cocaine base near the 1100 block of Raum Street, NE.
