Five people injured after Fourth of July mass shooting incident in Charlottesville

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WRIC) — Five people were injured after they were shot in a mass shooting incident in Charlottesville on the evening of the Fourth of July, according to police.

At 11:23 p.m. on Friday, July 4, officers with the Charlottesville Police Department were called to the area of Orangedale Avenue for multiple calls reporting a shooting.

Officers arrived within two minutes and found five people — a 52-year-old woman, an 18-year-old woman, a 17-year-old boy, an 11-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy — had been shot and were injured…
