Heat advisory up for this afternoon

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Partly sunny, muggy, and mild, waking up this Tuesday morning. There is a higher chance of rain today, and it will be even hotter. Highs will be near normal at the coast, and beaches are not under a heat advisory, but the Pee Dee and most of central Horry County will be this afternoon.

Temperatures inland will range from 95-98 degrees, and the heat index of 105-109 degrees today. Scattered showers and storms will provide some minor relief from the heat, but once the rain stops, the humidity will be unbearable.
