2 charged with stealing multiple guitars from Nashville music shop

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man and woman were charged Sunday after an investigation into numerous stolen guitars from a music store in Goodlettsville.

According to arrest documents, on multiple occasions between May 20 to June 3, Kenneth Humphrey, 65, entered Guitar Center on Rivergate Parkway and shoplifted seven guitars totaling more than $12,500.

During the same period, Humphrey and 47-year-old Patty Bowling were captured on surveillance video allegedly selling the stolen items — which were identified by serial number — to Nashville-area pawn shops.

On at least one occasion, reports said Humphrey was seen on video shoplifting two instruments from Guitar Center and later selling one at a pawn shop while wearing the same outfit…
