A 25-year-old Kansas man has died following an apparent accidental drowning at Tettegouche State Park on the Fourth of July.
Deputies received a report just before 1 p.m. Friday of a man who was struggling to swim and had been under water for about 10 minutes on Baptism River near Illgen Falls, a 40-foot waterfall at the state park on Minnesota’s North Shore.
A rescue team located and recovered the body of Hari Kiran Gowd Senagana, of Overland Park, Kan., from approximately 32 feet of water, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
