A former employee of Aberdeen Heights in Kirkwood has been charged with a felony for stealing a resident’s credit card and making fraudulent purchases.
Jamia Howell, 34, of the 3400 block of Potomac Street in the city of St. Louis, was charged June 4 with stealing more than $750, according to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
The charge alleges that Howell committed the crime in September 2019 at Aberdeen Heights, 575 Couch Ave. At the time, an 88-year-old resident of the senior living community in Kirkwood reported that her debit/credit card had been stolen from her apartment and numerous fraudulent purchases had been made…
