Watermelon Festival to return to Kingsburg for a third year after a long hiatus

Uptown Sprouts has brought the Watermelon Festival back to Kingsburg for a third year — and it is bigger than ever.

Vendors, crafts and activity stations will line the lawn of Memorial Park on from 3-9 p.m. Saturday, July 12. Uptown Sprouts owner and festival organizer Pam Stepanian is pulling out all the stops in planning for the event.

New vendors will debut at the festival this year including amusement providers that will offer select carnival attraction rides for the community to enjoy. Stepaninan confirmed that she has arranged for the setup of a strawberry teacups ride, a 65-foot slide and a mini pirate’s boat ride. Popular activities featured at last year’s festival will also be operating this year for all the family to enjoy. Among the list of things to do at the festival are the foam pit, face painting, gardening, sand jar filling and much more…
