SHERMANS DALE — A weekend tragedy in Perry County has left two people dead after a head-on crash. State police say it happened around 8:15pm Saturday on State Route 34 in Carroll Township, when a truck crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into an SUV.
One passenger in the SUV died at the scene, and the truck’s driver later died in the hospital. Troopers identified the SUV occupants as Wendee Booher and Jan Booher of Burnham. The truck driver was William Richey Jr. of Shermans Dale. The road was closed for nearly four hours as police investigated…
