17-year-old killed in Jet Ski incident on Elk River in Limestone County

A 17-year-old girl is dead following an incident involving a Jet Ski, according to Limestone County Coroner Mike West.

West says he received the call about 1:43 p.m. Monday. The girl, from Tennessee, was floating on the Elk River when she was hit by a Jet Ski.

The 17-year-old was fatally injured after falling from an inflatable tube which was being towed by an 11-foot SEADOO PWC operated by another 17-year-old juvenile also from Tennessee.
