Cedar Rapids felon sentenced to 25 years in prison

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A Cedar Rapids man has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison as a felon.

James Colquhoun, age 40, of Cedar Rapids, has been sentenced for possessing firearms and plotting to distribute drugs.

According to the release, he pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance after a prior conviction for a serious drug felony, carrying of a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime in February 2025…
