Former EPISD special ed teacher arrested, allegedly hit students in classroom

An El Paso Independent School District special education teacher was allegedly captured on video hitting students with a broom, dustpan, and cell phone during several child abuse incidents inside a classroom, court documents alleged.

EPISD Police Department officers arrested Rachael Lucas, a former Charles Murphree School early childhood special education teacher, on June 26 in connection with six counts of injury to a child with intent to cause bodily injury.
