First Alert Weather Forecast

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Rain started a little earlier on our Tuesday afternoon, which may keep temperatures “cooler” in some places. Highs are still expected to reach at least the low 90s across most of the area. As rain sticks around for part of the overnight, expect a few strong to potentially severe storms with gusty winds and heavy downpours during the afternoon and evening Wednesday.

Rinsing and repeating for the rest of this week. Rain coverage is expected to be slightly higher by Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will stay in the low to mid-90s regardless, and “feels like” numbers will be a kicker in the low triple digits.

By the weekend, rain chances could wane briefly, but that will allow highs to warm back to the mid and upper 90s. In any event, keep the water bottle in one hand and the rain gear in the other for the foreseeable future!…
