WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Dr. Steve Noble has been named the new Chief Operations Officer for Wichita Public Schools.
The district states that Dr. Noble will work with Superintendent Kelly Bielefeld on strategic leadership and executive oversight of district operations, including Facilities, Operations, Safety and Environmental Services, as well as Information Services/Technology.
“With more than 46,500 students, WPS is the 10th largest ‘city’ in Kansas – roughly the size of Salina,” says Superintendent Kelly Bielefeld in a news release. “We have heard community feedback that we need to be both efficient and student-focused. I am excited for this opportunity to run our ‘city’ better while allowing my attention to remain where it belongs – in our classrooms.”

Noble has previously served as superintendent of Topeka’s Seaman school district, Durham-Hillsboro-Lehigh school districts in Marion County, assistant superintendent in the Haven school district, and, most recently, as Director of Business Development at Mammoth Sports Construction, LLC…
