Prosecutors on Thursday brought charges against a Gresham man, accusing him of stabbing another man to death in Portland’s Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood last July.
Ronnie L. Scott, 61, faces charges of first- and second-degree manslaughter and first-degree assault for allegedly stabbing 73-year-old Kenneth Housman around midnight near the intersection of Southeast Clinton Street and 136th Avenue.
Housman, who lived in the neighborhood, dubbed himself “sheriff” of Clinton Street and was known for setting ground rules for homeless people camping in the area and trying to keep the peace among them…
