CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A habitual felon has been sentenced to more than 13 years in prison after allegedly stealing electronic devices from multiple stores, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
Robert Brown, 56, was found guilty on one count of felony larceny, three counts of habitual felony larceny, two counts of larceny by removing, destroying, or deactivating a component of an antishoplifting or inventory control and for being a habitual felon. He was reportedly sentenced to 13.3-17 years in prison.
According to court documents, Brown stole from a Best Buy in Matthews three times between June 25, 2024, and July 16, 2024. On July 9, loss prevention officers from the Target on Albemarle Road in Charlotte said they saw Brown use a pair of scissors to cut “spider security wire” off electronic devices…
