‘People walked on eggshells:’ City admin resigns after HR found workplace violations

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Staff members say a Chattanooga city planning administrator who was put on leave and has since resigned was “hot headed and mood swinging” and had them “walking on eggshells,” according to an investigative report our newsroom obtained on Wednesday.

We confirmed Dan Reuter was put on leave last month from his position as the administrator of the Department of Planning. He also served as the Executive Director of Regional Planning Authority. At the time, we didn’t know the reason. A release from the City of Chattanooga says Reuter has now resigned.
