Madera County deputies responded to over 500 calls during 4th of July

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Madera County Sheriff’s Office says this Fourth of July, they responded to 29 fire calls, which is the highest number they’ve seen on the holiday in the past five years.

Deputies say that from July 4 through July 6, the dispatch center received 379 emergency 911 calls and 893 non-emergency calls, which totaled 1,270 incoming calls in three days.

Deputies responded to 504 calls for services, including 40 fire-related calls or reports of fire. On July 4, they responded to 29 separate fire calls…
