Crews cut truck’s roof, rescue driver trapped in embankment

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Fire crews removed the top and the doors off a vehicle to rescue a man who drove into an embankment on Tuesday.

According to the Quarryville Fire Company, crews responded to the 2200 block of Beaver Valley Pike in Providence Township at 6 p.m. for a vehicle crash with an entrapment. Firefighters reported that a large work truck veered off the road, through a guardrail, and into an embankment, where it struck a tree.
