Community on Edge After Deadly Penn Hills Shooting Linked to Business Altercation

A routine summer evening in Penn Hills shattered Monday when gunfire erupted outside a neighborhood car wash, leaving one man dead and a business district rattled by the second fatal shooting in 24 hours.

According to the Allegheny County Police Department, officers responded to a hail of gunfire just after 6 p.m. near the intersection of Frankstown and Duff Roads. In a preliminary statement, police said the victim—whose identity has not yet been released—entered the auto spa, engaged in a heated argument with the owners, and was subsequently shot.
