CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga County announced the expansion of its Mental Health and Substance Abuse Crisis Response Program into two of Cleveland’s suburbs: Parma and Parma Heights.
The program will place full-time social workers with police and fire departments to improve the response to those who are suffering from a mental health or substance abuse crisis.
Funding for the expansion comes from $3.5 million from the Opioid Mitigation Fund, which the county will commit to the program. The goal is to continue to develop the program county-wide…
