Midtown pasta restaurant relocating to Steelton due to safety concerns in Harrisburg

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — After a dozen years on 3rd Street in Harrisburg, Pastorante is closing its original doors and moving its business to Steelton. The owner of the establishment says the decision to move was tough, but safety was his priority.

“We’ve been kind of fighting for a long time, complaining to the city, the mayor, the police commissioner, but things just not improving, so, decided to finally get out because it was really impacting sales,” said owner Sri Kumarasingam.

After Kumarasingam opened the restaurant in 2013, he said that the area his restaurant is located has become more and more dangerous over the years…
