Knoxville Fire Department asked for help identifying suspect in church fire

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Fire Department is seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect after a fire at a church.

Around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, KFD crews responded to a small fire on the exterior of the Eternal Life Harvest Center on Western Avenue, the department said. They extinguished it before it could spread to the interior of the church, resulting in only minor damage.

Fire investigators found images of a “potential suspect” seen near the church around the time of the fire. KFD asked for anyone who can identify the person in the pictures to contact East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers for a potential reward of up to $2,000.
