Driver had THC in system when he crashed into Kalamazoo gas station, court docs say

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — New details were released in the case against a man who apparently crashed his SUV into a Kalamazoo gas station back in March, injuring seven.

Eric David Johnson is facing four charges: two counts of Reckless Driving Causing Serious Impairment of a Body Function and two counts of Operating While Intoxicated Causing Serious Injury.

The crash, which was caught on video, happened on March 16 just after 1 p.m. Police say Johnson was driving his SUV down Westnedge when he veered off the road and crashed into the middle gas pump at the Speedway gas station…
