Florida man receives 10-year federal prison term for possession of meth

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) – A Fort Walton Beach man last week received a 10-year federal prison sentence for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

A federal judge in Pensacola handed the prison term to 39-year-old Malcolm Jamal Norvilus on July 1, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida announced today. Norvilus previously pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute 50 grams of more of meth.

Court documents revealed that on July 25, 2024, Okaloosa County deputies were trying to find a vehicle that had been reported stolen. When they tracked it down, the driver, identified as Norvilus, sped off, crashed into a pole, then tried…..
