SUV overturns in Santa Rosa County; driver life-flighted from scene

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A Chevy SUV was involved in a single-car crash on SR-89, according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

While heading north on SR-89, the maroon Chevy was preparing to turn left south of Hunters Oak Trail, but was seen by witnesses driving straight off the road onto the grassy shoulder, and continuing in the same direction.

The vehicle drove about 100 feet and collided with a tree. This caused the vehicle to overturn and land on its passenger side, the release said.
