SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – We are learning more about an assault turned murder case in Sioux Falls. 44-year-old Shawn Roubideaux is charged with second-degree murder after a man he allegedly assaulted died in the hospital.
What started as a call for an intoxicated person early Thursday morning led to three arrests with one of the suspects facing a possible sentence of life behind bars.

According to court documents, when police arrived at this central Sioux Falls townhome they found 36-year-old Daniel Marshall laying unresponsive on the floor with blood on him and a swollen face.
Also inside was Shawn Roubideaux, Alesia BlackBonnet and Saige Quinn. Police also spoke with two other witnesses who recall Roubideaux and BlackBonnet fighting with the victim.
Inside the home, police also found BlackBonnet’s cell phone. According to court documents, detectives found a video on the phone that was over four minutes long and shows the victim bleeding heavily from his face. The video then pans to Roubideaux who points to the victim and says ‘I did that’. It then pans to Quinn who is seen holding a trash can and a mop…
