WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — After powerful thunderstorms swept through the DMV, many residents are waking up without power Thursday morning.
On Wednesday evening, storms pushed through the region, roaring thunder and bolting lightning from the sky. The strong storm also pushed down trees and left roads flooded.
In Maryland and Washington, D.C., large trees blocked the roads, and in Alexandria, water filled the streets, forcing some drivers to ditch their cars.
