The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will implement a detour beginning Wednesday, July 23, as part of the ongoing construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Route 240 (Crozet Avenue), Route 250 (Rockfish Gap Turnpike), and Route 680 (Browns Gap Turnpike) in Albemarle County.
The detour will remain in place through December 2025, weather permitting, while crews construct the new single-lane roundabout and reconstruct the Route 680 bridge over Lickinghole Creek…
