Stewart Co. Inmates Reap Benefits Of Garden

Dover, Tenn.–The Stewart County Sheriff’s Office Inmate Garden is thriving and the inmates are reaping the benefits, according to Sheriff Frankie Gray. More tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers are coming in and lunch and dinner keeps looking better each day. Now they’re digging up potatoes and this gives the inmates fresh healthy vegetables daily. “This is such a positive, rehabilitative intervention plus so therapeutic for our inmates working as a team and able to enjoy the outdoors when it’s not too hot,” he said.
