NJ Transit faces $10 million lawsuit from longtime Black female electrician

A woman who has worked for New Jersey Transit for more than 40 years has filed a $10 million lawsuit claiming the agency has discriminated against her for the past two years in violation of federal civil rights laws.

Barbara Williams, of East Orange, states in court papers she has been denied overtime, saddled with inexperienced workers and presented with limited opportunities in her position as a railway electrician.
