Fort Worth Man Sentenced to 50 Years for Drug Trafficking

FORT WORTH, TX — The Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office announced on July 8, 2025, that 42-year-old Eric Robert Jones has pled guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and has been sentenced to 50 years in prison.

The case began on January 26, 2024, when law enforcement conducted a traffic stop that led to the discovery of a bag of methamphetamine and a bag of fentanyl pills in Jones’ vehicle. A subsequent search warrant executed at his residence uncovered additional narcotics, thousands of dollars in cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Investigators determined, based on the quantity of drugs and cash found, that Jones was actively engaged in drug distribution. He has multiple prior felony convictions related to narcotics…
