AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – One woman was recently indicted by a grand jury in Amarillo Federal Court on multiple charges related to alleged fentanyl possession and distribution in October 2024.
According to court documents, Maria Engracia Escobedo was indicted in Amarillo Federal Court on June 25 on multiple alleged charges, including one count of “conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl” and three counts of “distribution and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.”

Escobedo was accused of “conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl” after allegedly conspiring “with persons known and unknown to the grand jury” to possess and distribute a mixture containing fentanyl through June 2025.
