Over 13K customers were without power near Loveland for ‘transmission line event’

DENVER (KDVR) — Thousands of Loveland area residents were without power on Wednesday night as triple-digit heat swept through the state.

The Poudre Valley REA said that as of 8:43 p.m., the organization had over 12,000 customers without power. The service provider said on X that the service was disrupted due to a transmission line event.

Crews were on their way to the area, Poudre Valley REA said, and more information will be shared when the crew is able to report back.

The service provider’s outage map showed the outage was centered on Loveland.

At about 9:13, the service provider took to X and reported that the outage was up to over 13,000 customers without power. The provider said that crews were on site and working “as quickly and safely as possible to restore service.”…
