Military exercises at JBER bring increased noise, traffic through August

It’s a busy summer at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, and residents living nearby can expect to hear — and see — more military activity through the month of August.

A series of large-scale military training exercises are underway, including Resolute Force Pacific, RED FLAG-Alaska 25-3, Arctic Edge, and Northern Edge. These joint operations are expected to bring increased aircraft noise and traffic throughout Anchorage and the surrounding communities.
