LAKEMORE — Lakemore Village Council July 7 approved the purchase of two 2018 Ford Explorers in the Police Department for a total cost of $16,000.
“[Police Chief Roy Smith] had tried to get one car and stay within budget, and it was $16,000 for one,” said Councilwoman Laura Cochran. “We are getting two [for the same price]. They are from the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department and have a few dings and scratches, but they are good cars.”
