18-year-old arrested, charged after alleged gang-related shooting

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged with malicious wounding and gang participation in connection to a shooting that left two people injured in May.

On Thursday, May 1, at 8:50 p.m., crews with the Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue were called to the area of Oak Hill Market and Deli after reports of multiple shots fired, according to authorities.

Two adults were found at the scene with injuries considered serious, but non-life-threatening, and they were taken to a nearby medical center…
