Sacramento Sheriff’s Office Seizes 1500 Lbs of Illegal Fireworks and Cocaine During Fourth of July Crackdown

During the Fourth of July weekend, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office confiscated about 1,500 pounds of illegal fireworks, around $150,000 in cash, and several ounces of cocaine. The Central Division Problem Oriented Policing team carried out the operation to address the sale and use of illegal fireworks in the county, as reported by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities found illegal fireworks during a search at a home in south Sacramento. Deputies recovered M80’s and M1000’s, which they said could start fires and endanger people and property.
