SPD arrests man in connection with May battery

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Savannah Police Department (SPD) arrested a man Wednesday in connection to a May battery with the use of Flock Safety Technology.

The incident of aggravated battery occurred May 10 in the 600 block of W. 39th Street.

SPD officers stopped Anthony Joyner on Wednesday in a traffic stop, discovering a warrant for the aggravated battery and a suspended driver’s license. A search of the vehicle also revealed possession of a controlled substance.

Joyner was charged with the aggravated battery and driving with a suspended license, along with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and improper passing…
