Video of the deadly crash from above from Texas Sky Ranger shows the Lyft car pushed several yards down the track Wednesday morning after the car collided with a westbound TRE train near Harry Hines Boulevard, killing both people inside.
On Thursday, NBC 5 observed a pedestrian crossing the very same tracks while the red lights and crossing arms were still coming down.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, it is against the law to cross train tracks if a train is visible or to drive around gates that have been lowered at a railroad crossing. If the crossing arms are lowered and no train is approaching, the road is considered closed…
