Bag with burglary tools, 300 feet of cut AT&T copper wire found by Caddo deputies; man arrested

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – According to Caddo Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr., a man has been arrested for stealing AT&T wire from power poles.

On July 10, at 3:30 a.m., patrol deputies were dispatched to the area of Flournoy Lucas in response to reports of a suspicious male potentially attempting to break into homes. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered a bag containing suspected burglary tools, as well as 300 feet of cut AT&T copper wire from several poles in the vicinity.

A witness told deputies that a man dressed in all black fled the area and ran into a large field along Stevens Road. He was later found hiding in the woods near Wrenwood Boulevard with the use of a drone operated by Sgt. Brian Johnson and Deputy Aaron Normand…
