RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A woman is in custody after a crash in Sun Valley that left several children injured.
Around 12:30 a.m., the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a head-on crash at West 7th Avenue and Sidehill Drive. When deputies arrived, they found two cars that they described as heavily damaged.
One of those cars was carrying five children, aged 17, 9, 7, 4, and 3. According to investigators, the driver of that car, 23-year-old Eugenia Lafevere, was impaired at the time of the crash. The sheriff’s office also says the two youngest children were not in seatbelts.
